Wallpaper the World!
…or at least my little house in suburbia!
Over the last few months, I’ve realized that my place in this Pattern Design world is in Wallpaper. Wallpaper and I have always had a loving relationship. My mom had decorated my childhood room with tiny heart wallpaper with a 80’s typical wallpaper border. I remember staring at that wallpaper ever night before bed. I loved that wallpaper so much! To this day its memory still comforts me much like the smell of a new box of crayons.
As an adult, I’ve decorated my home with wallpaper in ways I never thought of as a kid. Gold geometric lines adorn my bathroom and sketchy blue triangles grace my cabinets. Wallpaper is an obsession I didn’t realize I had until I had walls of my own to fill.
So what doe that mean for my design career? I’m all about wallpaper you guys! I mean sure sure sure, I will still be creating artwork for other products, but my main focus is wallpaper… and soon enough I’ll be a wallpaper mogul! Dare I say, the Beyonce of wallpaper!?!?
Ok maybe not that far but in a first step into owning my own wallpaper empire, I completely gutted my Etsy shop (where nothing ever sold anyway) and have been adding some of my favorite wallpaper designs! Woop woop!
Wallpaper orders will be fulfilled by Spoonflower for now, but I’m on the hunt for a way to fulfill orders directly, not through a POD site.
